Lino® Hub: Simple integration, intelligent automation

Configuration specialist Lino GmbH presents its newly developed integration platform Lino® Hub for optimizing business processes in the manufacturing industry.

The switch to data-driven business models with automated processes and the integration of digital technologies are essential for competitiveness. Standardization, process automation and optimization accelerate order processes and increase product efficiency. Lino® Hub is an important building block for companies on the path to digital transformation. Business processes become data highways that provide product information across departments and systems.

The middleware can be flexibly integrated into existing system landscapes and supports the order process with rule-based configuration and intelligent interfaces to ERP and PDM/PLM systems. Lino® Hub creates integrated and automated processes between sales, design, and manufacturing.

The configurators used define the product characteristics using design and commercial rules. Lino® Hub integrates powerful configurators such as Tacton or Cosling to support sales and customers in product selection.

By connecting the CAD automation process, design data can be generated quickly and easily at the touch of a button and created in an ERP system, for example. Automated document creation significantly speeds up the order process. Thanks to integrated 3D visualization, product understanding and user experience are improved for users.

Products are developed and designed in the design department to derive and process production-relevant data. Countless variants with a multitude of geometric and design parameters are usually the most time-consuming section and the reason for long processing times. Lino® Hub accelerates this process with the help of a 3D configurator. Using parameterized CAD models, product versions are easily configured, drawings, parts lists and work plans are automatically derived and created in the PDM and ERP system using intelligent interfaces.

Today, modern CNC machines enable the direct processing of derived CAD/CAM data for machine programming. This leads to significantly shorter set-up times and higher throughput, but at the same time places high demands on data quality. Lino® Hub also supports this process automation with the help of the configurator and CAD automation. The CAM program can be initiated directly after the product configuration. Tools, machining steps and product coordinates are then derived specifically for the configuration and translated into machine code.
